The breakdown of performance here is pretty much what you'd expect it to be, except for one notable exemption, the fact that the Athlon at 600 and 650MHz rendered the test scenes in less time than a dual Pentium III 600. While this may not apply to all cases, it is definitely an indication of how powerful the Athlon really is, can you imagine what a dual processor Athlon would be like?
Also be sure to make note of the fact that even a Dual Celeron 500 is slower than a single Pentium III 500 in this case, for high-end professionals it seems like there is no way to get around paying full price for your processors, the Celeron isn't for you.
