You’re not going to do your readers any favors by over extending yourself. The more you push yourself while sick the less you'll be able to concentrate on what you have learned while your there. I once had the flu while studying for 2 finals, the hardest one I basically blew off and studied the bare essentials and the other was easy and I studied all the material. I did twice as well on the final that I focused on just the important stuff, I almost failed the other! Rest and get well!!!!

    Get well soon!
You deserve the rest, fantastic site, we are indebted to you :)

Anand, you don't need to feel guilty about anything. Health always comes first my friend. Take rest, get better and once you're all good to go, we'll all read your well written article(s) on CES with pleasure.

For the love of Mike, how many times have we been over this in the last 6 or 7 years? If you're sick, take some time off, get some bed-rest, and get better. Not only are you The Boss so you can obviously get away with it, but the site won't break down if you're AWOL for a few days. We'd rather have you alive & alert 95% of the time than run down 100% of the time. Your notes on CES aren't going anywhere, so just get better and then get back to work.

And Vinney, you need to put your foot down and stop him from time to time. Anand will work himself to death if given the chance, please don't let him.;-)

Thanks for all the great coverage, don't be too hard on yourself. I'm sure everyone here would rather have you healthy than CES.

Hey Anand, dont worry for the coverage...
Take youre time, just like every body else said.
And when you're completly recover, worry about those little things. Hey it's not time what impresess me from this site, its the quality. And im sure many others, think the same way.

Take your time. Your stuff is well-written and insightful enough to justify any wait, much less only a few days.
  • maharajah - Saturday, January 8, 2005 - link

    Take care.
I always hate those east coast-west coast trips. They always drain you, even when you start off feeling well. I can just imagine what it's like when you start off sick.
I would recommend staying a day or two extra after CES, to rest, before flying back.

Don't worry so much about the CES coverage. Get better I believe the all of the 8 posts before me say the same you have done an amazing job with anandtech and you are not feeling well for like the first time in who knows how long. Feel better we can wait for the article. Also try to enjoy the show and relax having you stress about making us wait will not help your health and the whole site needs you alive.

For crying out loud, you wrote this at 2:25AM. I don't think anyone can fault you for going to sleep. Nobody's gonna die because you finished an article a day or two or 10 later. Take it easy!
  • crtfanboy - Saturday, January 8, 2005 - link

I warned you Anand. I told you to take time off and enjoy yourself, but nooooooo. Now look at yourself, falling to peices.

I appreciate all the work you do, but you've gotta take care of yourself. You're of no use to us dead. Now I'm going to have to worry if you're going to die and it's going to be vinneytech or kubickitech... and frankly, anandtech is the easiest to spell

agus sunardy unless you're a personal friend of Anand's I suggest you use the forums for such questions.

Take your time to recover Anand. It's not a good idea to push yourself too hard. I know you have had about zero time lately, because the HL2 CPU scaling article is still not up :-) Don't worry about that, we can wait.

Feel for the victims of the Tsunami, those losing their lives in the Congo. Fret not about coverage of CES, others do it too.

    hi,
sorry to hear (or read?) that.
I hope you get better soon.

i need your help (also to anyone who might read this posting). i plan to upgrade my pc (pIII 533 Mhz - whatta stone age computer i have). because of my limited budget i plan to upgrade it to athlon xp 2500+ or p4 2,4c (this version is hyperthreading isn't?). comparing the price, athlon xp 2500+ looks very nice and worthy to me.
could you help me telling me which one is the better choice: athlon xp 2500+ or p4 2.4 hyperthreading?
please reply to my e-mail address
    thank you

    Don't feel guilty about it.

No excuses necessary. Everyone who has been following Anandtech.com over the years knows you work hard. Sometimes it just takes a while to get better. Besides, you have to be in good shape to work hard. Otherwise it just fires back.

Don't worry about it. We all really appreciate the hard work you put in and it is a pleasure to read your well written articles. Take a good rest and enjoy the time in Vegas.

    Hope you get better soon.
