Asus keeps teasing us with Eee updates, but it's nowhere to be seen. Are they saving it for later in the show, or are a couple of bullet points on a PowerPoint presentation all they're going to giving us?
They had it up on stage but I don't think they're ready to let anyone take pictures yet. I think it's just in the prototype stage right now, or perhaps late alpha/early beta. I think the plan is to launch the new Eee PC in 2-3 months (but I could be wrong).
I know - I said as much in the http://www.anandtech.com/mobile/showdoc.aspx?i=319...">WidowPC review early this week. I told ASUS this as well. Their response: "Well, you know we've never done a real gaming notebook yet, and this is our first real effort. We'll hopefully move forward from here if the demand is there." Personally, I don't think anyone is going to care about any other gaming notebooks besides the Gateway FX $1350 model, unless they can also get down to competitive prices.
The press announcement says "9500M GS" so that's what I put down. Obviously, that would be in a not-yet-shipping model. Specs? I don't know yet... or at least I'm not saying. ;)

"Other new laptop models include systems with Mobility Radeon HD3650 and GeForce 9500M GS"I do believe you mean the 8500M, if I am not mistaken. Mind you a 9500 would be lovely ;)
