VZW issued 12 press releases On the 26th naming 16 towns as getting LTE on august 18th. I'm not sure how the 12/16 combine into 9 markets, but here's the list:
Greater Worcester, Massachusetts Syracuse, New York, Area Capital Region Ithaca, New York, Area Provo/Orem, Utah Salinas And Monterey, California Bakersfield, California Omaha And Council Bluffs, Nebraska Johnstown And Altoona, Pennsylvania Ft. Collins, Colorado Tucson, Arizona Frederick, Maryland
They're also expanding LTE coverage in several areas on the same date:
Metrowest, Massachusetts Columbus, Ohio Cincinnati, Ohio Nyack, West Nyack, Orangeburg, Pearl River And Spring Valley, New York
I'm in Johnstown PA and will have it soon on paper, now VZW just needs to upgrade the Droid3 when lower power 3g/LTE combined wireless chips become available...
