Please send me more things for review that aren't available

It looks like, despite what I've been told, that that Radeon HD 3870 and 3850 aren't really available today. Newegg and Tiger Direct were supposed to have stock, but thus far I haven't seen anything. I'm hearing that we'll see quantities in the coming weeks but this isn't exactly a hard launch as far as I can tell (maybe everyone is still sleeping?).
So let me get this straight, in one way or another we've recommended the GeForce 8800 GT, Radeon HD 3870 and Radeon HD 3850 - but you can't actually buy any of them? Great.
Maybe more companies will send me limited availability items for review? I hear they aren't making too many Bugatti Veyrons and they only made 20 of that new Lamborghini Reventon. Hmm...

Kind of off-topic Anand, but would it be possible to get a noise comparison between the new Radeons and the GT? Or at least give us an unscientific "not much difference" or an "X is quieter than Y, but just a little" comment. ;) If the GT is particularly annoying for some reason, then I'd rather go with the 3870 as I am (trying to) build a quiet-ish system. As it is, there aren't too many noise comparisons out there. Thanks.beoba - Thursday, November 22, 2007 - link
I've found the forums on silentpcreview.com to be pretty handy for that sort of thing.slashbinslashbash - Thursday, November 15, 2007 - link

I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say that the only reason I haven't pulled the trigger on buying a Lamborghini Reventon is because it hasn't gotten an Anandtech Editor's Choice award. So Lamborghini, listen up!
((((perhaps that will help you get your review sample :P ))))

If I end up with a Reventon sample dinner is on me ;)Sunrise089 - Thursday, November 15, 2007 - link
That's almost as good as Daily Tech's Coffee-if-you-write-for-us policy :)
